San Ramon
Project Summary

Bayview Services was contracted owner-direct with Sunset Development Company to provide LEED-EB -compliant soft demolition of the former AT&T headquarters. Bayview was recognized for our environmental sustainability and awarded this project based on our ability to comply with the LEED-EB requirements and aggressive construction schedule. Three full floors with a wingspan of three football fields per floor made a lengthy load out for our crew. Bayview developed a proprietary method of C&D removal to meet the schedule and keep our crew safe. Most of the carpet was recovered under the CARE program and 6000 SF was recovered and reused on another jobsite.

Project Summary

Kiewit Corporation selected Bayview to perform multiple environmental and industrial services on the Oroville Dam, River Valve Outlet System Rehabilitation Project (RVOS) for the Department of Water Resources in Oroville, CA. Bayview Environmental was tasked with performing lead, asbestos, and PCB abatement on various surfaces throughout the facility. Bayview Industrial’s focus was on the draining, purging, and rinsing of hydraulic fluid from tanks, lines and valves that control the flow of water through the dam itself. All work was performed inside the dam while still fully operational which presented unique logistical and operational challenges to the team.

UCI
University of California Irvine
Project Summary

This project encompassed mold remediation, lead and asbestos abatement, and both hard and soft demolition across multiple buildings at the University. Mold remediation involved the removal of damaged drywall caused by heavy rains, while the abatement scope included lead plaster ceilings and walls for MEP trades and the removal of quarry tile with asbestos-containing waterproofing membrane. Bayview’s team also assisted the scaffolding subcontractor with anchoring into asbestos stucco walls. Hard demolition included saw cutting, chipping new openings, and removing non-asbestos quarry tile with mortar bed systems using light diesel-powered equipment. Dustless and bead blasting methods were used to prepare concrete surfaces for new waterproofing installations. Soft demolition included removing stucco walls and storefront systems for new waterproofing and door installations. Due to the project’s complexity and tight sequencing, Bayview deployed a large crew to work across multiple buildings, ensuring timely completion for following trades. This marked Bayview’s first project with Whiting-Turner in Southern California.
