I wanted to talk about the fishing trip that took place back in May of this year. It was attended by our NorCal operations department along with the estimators from Both Bayview and CBR offices. Our meeting point was at a dock in the Emeryville marina. From there the boat would make many stops along the way to drop our fishing lines in hopes of catching something. It seemed like someone was catching a fish every time we stopped at a new spot.
I’ve always appreciated these types of events because it gave everyone an opportunity to get to know each other outside of the office. I believe that it is even more important to have this event because we have so many new team members from the merger with Bluewater and CBR. Once we were done fishing, we had lunch reservations at Trader Vic’s which was conveniently down the street from the dock. The selection of food that we had to choose from was great. What I remember the most about that lunch was the joy and laughter that everyone was a part of. Shane Pickett caught the biggest fish of the day. I would also like to thank the person that made it possible, Peter Warren.
