The Annual ESOP conference took place in beautiful San Diego. The events spanned from Wednesday the 28th till Friday the 30th of September. It took place in Coronado Bay at the Loews Hotel. The first night was registration and networking. The night consisted of exchanging business cards, playing games set up at different booths to win prizes, and learning about how other companies use ESOP to make the workplace more exciting. The rest of the event was broken off into separate sessions in different conference rooms. We took away many great ideas on how to make ESOP more interesting to employees and how to showcase information differently depending on what stage the employee is at in their career. Overall, the convention was a way to get a fresh perspective on what an ESOP is and how to explain it to employees. The better understanding individual employees have of the ESOP benefits the whole company. If each employee treats the company like they are an owner, overall production and quality of work drastically increases.
