Project Summary
Bayview Environmental services was contracted to complete the renovations of the 32,000 sf 2-story Building B at Alhambra High School. Additional renovations included the 8,000 sf Building H basement.
The scope of work at Building B included the abatement and demolition of interior finishes and roof. The abatement included removal and disposal of asbestos containing and lead materials; floor tile, mastic, tsi insulation, rolled roof, and drywall w/ joint compound. The selective demolition consisted of removal and disposal of interior partition walls, ceiling systems, MEP’s, flooring, & light fixtures.
The scope of work at Building H basement consisted of abatement of boiler insulation, floor tile/mastic, and tsi pipe insulation. The demolition consisted of piecing/torching apart 2 boilers, 1 cooling tower, and 1 chiller. This demolition included associated concrete pads and all associated wires, conduits, and plumbing lines. Bayview crews utilized a spider crane to safely rig materials from 15’ deep basement up to grade level.
