2485 Hospital Dr. – Women’s Hospital
2485 Hospital Dr., Mountian View, CA 94040
Project Summary

In this project, Bayview Demolition fully gutted the second and third floors of El Camino Hospital’s four-story Women’s Hospital. In phase one, our team removed an exterior window and used an 85’ telescopic boom lift in order to offload debris safely and efficiently from the second and third floors. This was also done in part to minimize the impact of demolition upon the doctors and patients receiving care on the surrounding floors. All interior finishes were removed including carpet, drywall, doors, and light fixtures; as well as all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. To wrap up phase one, the Bayview Demolition team used the boom lift to safely remove all exterior windows.
In phase two, large air handling units will be removed as well as the concrete pads which supported them. The team will then then sawcut and break out out concrete walls to make way for the installation of new air handing units and louvers. In the third and final phase, Bayview Demolition will perform selective demolition on restrooms and maternity rooms throughout the building.

Project Summary

Bayview deployed both its Demolition and Environmental divisions to complete the full gut of the historic Graduate Hotel in Palo Alto, California. The project encompassed all six floors (7,500 SF each), as well as the roof and basement. Bayview’s Environmental team abated all lead- and asbestos-containing materials throughout the building. Offloading debris presented a challenge due to the lack of street space for dumpsters, requiring placement inside the ground floor. Upon clearance, the Demolition team executed soft demolition and selective hard demolition at various locations, demonstrating Bayview’s expertise in managing complex, high-density urban projects with environmental and logistical constraints.

Project Summary

This multifaceted project involves hazardous material abatement and structural demolition at a six-story apartment complex in Richmond. Bayview Environmental performed interior asbestos abatement and spot lead abatement on the exterior, while Bayview Demolition executed roof topping slab demolition and interior demolition to return the building to a shell as part of its renovation into new low-income housing. The project required precise coordination of four crews working simultaneously across the complex to meet an aggressive schedule, highlighting Bayview’s expertise in managing complex, high-paced renovation projects.
