The 1 Montgomery project was a unique and complex undertaking for Bayview Environmental and Bayview Demolition within the basement of a historic bank building.
The scope of work involved the abatement of asbestos floor tile, lead-containing plaster walls, and lead paint from steel linings inside multiple vaults. Following abatement, Bayview Demolition dismantled and removed the vaults themselves.
Key challenges included ensuring adequate airflow to support the machinery used for demolition and navigating the constricted access for material movement. Despite these obstacles, the project was successfully completed while preserving the integrity of the historic structure.
View ProjectBayview began the project with interior concrete slab cutting and the demolition of blast-resistant walls, setting the stage for the complex removal of exterior equipment. The scope included ducting, plumbing, electrical systems, and filter banks that had previously served pharmaceutical operations. The project showcased Bayview’s ability to manage technically challenging demolition in sensitive industrial environments while maintaining strict safety and regulatory compliance.
View ProjectBayview performed fireproofing removal on the 46th floor of the 555 California building, carefully implementing containment and abatement measures to protect occupied spaces. The project showcased Bayview’s ability to execute high-rise abatement work safely and efficiently while minimizing disruption to building occupants.
View ProjectBayview executed a large-scale project for the United States Navy, deploying a substantial crew to meet an aggressive schedule. Multiple confined-space and hazardous materials teams worked staggered shifts to prepare tanks and shipboard spaces for critical maintenance and repair. In addition, Bayview crews performed daily disinfection of common areas and high-touch surfaces to prevent the spread of COVID-19, demonstrating the company’s commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient operations in complex naval environments.
View ProjectBayview’s Southern California division completed hazardous material abatement at a six-story Kaiser Permanente facility in San Diego, CA. The work included removal of drywall joint compound around perimeter and core walls, as well as abatement of stucco, vinyl floor sheeting, and black mastic throughout the building. The project demonstrated Bayview’s ability to perform complex abatement work efficiently and safely within an occupied healthcare environment, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
