The 1 Montgomery project was a unique and complex undertaking for Bayview Environmental and Bayview Demolition within the basement of a historic bank building.

The scope of work involved the abatement of asbestos floor tile, lead-containing plaster walls, and lead paint from steel linings inside multiple vaults. Following abatement, Bayview Demolition dismantled and removed the vaults themselves.

Key challenges included ensuring adequate airflow to support the machinery used for demolition and navigating the constricted access for material movement. Despite these obstacles, the project was successfully completed while preserving the integrity of the historic structure.
