Project Summary

This project involved the abatement of approximately 40,000 square feet of contaminated fireproofing in conjunction with non-hazardous interior demolition. The work presented several logistical challenges, including improperly safed-off MEP systems and the use of a small freight elevator to offload nearly 30,000 pounds of material from the upper floors.

Despite these obstacles, Bayview’s Environmental and Demolition teams worked collaboratively to safely and efficiently complete the project. Through careful coordination, adaptive planning, and consistent communication with the client and general contractor, the team ensured all work was performed to the highest standards of safety and quality. Although the project exceeded its original completion date due to unforeseen conditions, the final outcome met client expectations and was considered a success.
