This ESOP event brought a great deal of knowledge and fun ways to enhance the employee-ownership culture in the company. There was a presentation by a fellow employee-owner, he shared his company’s tips and tricks on how we can enhance employee-ownership culture at our company. Most of what he discussed are things we currently do in our company but it was a nice refresher to see how another company does it and makes a culture around the ESOP events they hold. Some of the ideas and tips that were shared include:
- “guess the company’s stock price”
- Having retired employees give testimonies about how their ESOP account is benefiting them through their retirement.
- Pumpkin carving contest during October.
- Giving fully vested employees a vest to show other employees.
These events are a great way to connect with other ESOP companies and gain insight on how they do things at their companies and also share information about Bayview and what we do.
