This project involved both soft and hard demolition tasks. Bayview Demolition Services performed selective removal and disposal of full-height and ceiling-height drywall partitions, carpet flooring, ceiling tiles and grid, deck insulation, and detailed main deck clips. Additionally, office cubicles were disassembled and disposed of.
The soft demolition was primarily executed using hand tools to prevent damage to items designated to remain in place. As part of the base contract, Bayview also saw cut and diced approximately 19,000 square feet of concrete slab into 3’x3’ sections, which were offloaded using bobcats.
The roof demolition scope included the removal of large boxcar units, each weighing up to 30,000 pounds and measuring 60 feet in length. These units were unbolted, rigged, and safely lifted using a large crane. The same process was utilized to dismantle and remove a 3,000-square-foot steel platform, miscellaneous ductwork, and penthouse finishes.
View ProjectThe goal of the demolition at 2101 Corporate Center Drive was to return an office space to a White Box for the future tenants to have a clean slate to build back on. The first Southern California project with Dome adds on to years of successful projects between our Northern California locations. The demolition scope began with the soft demolition of drywall, ceiling grid systems and various flooring types. The detail work was extensive to remove all of the clips that hung the ceiling grid and MEP systems. There was additional Drywall removal from the underside of the deck to carefully expose the cap sheet insulation that was to remain in place. After the interior demolition was completed, the exterior precast panel façade, storefronts and concrete slab were demolished before heading up to the roof to remove the A/C units, including the recovery of the freon, so they were safe to dispose of. During a later phase, the roll up door and all of the exterior windows were removed. During this project, we performed additional requested work while maintaining the same timeframe, allowing the GC to keep the initial schedule.
View ProjectBayview Environmental Services, Inc. was awarded the mold remediation and demolition project at the Intel facility located in Santa Clara California. The scope of work was to remove moldy drywall which had impacted the entire 3 story building known as Building D2. The scope included the removal of the mechanical systems, including the main supply fans on the upper floor (Fan Deck) and all piping, electrical conduits, HVAC ducting, low voltage wiring, fire sprinkler systems, raised floors, and all interior finishes. The project was a combination project performed with Environmental and Demolition teams working in sequence to remove the necessary mechanical systems prior to the Environmental team coming in to prepare the mold containments and remove the moldy drywall materials. The $3 million + dollar project was scheduled for 12 weeks. Several change orders were added to the contract including removal of overhead secondary steel support systems which was performed by Bayview Demolition Services, Inc.
View ProjectBayview Industrial Services was contracted to perform hazardous materials abatement and selective demolition of Bullard Hall at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey. Bullard Hall is a two- story concrete framed building with 17,000 SF of space per floor. Scope of work consisted of floor tile abatement and complete interior demolition of building components down to concrete shell. The Bayview team was also tasked with concrete saw cutting of floor slabs, roof deck, and elevator shaft wall. Demolition debris were source separated and transported to various facilities to meet recycling requirements.
View ProjectBayview was contracted by Quantum Scape Battery, Inc. to assist in preparing a 50K square foot building for upcoming battery production operations in support of the Toyota Motor Corporation EV program. The services include the removal and decontamination of approximately 4k linear feet of production lines contaminated with varying concentrations of metals and fluoride dusts. The production line materials underwent a two stage decontamination process to qualify the metal components for recycling and to aid Quantum Scape in waste minimization during the turn around of the building. These activities have also been coordinated in support of the overall facility closure operations and preparation for demolition and retrofit activities.
