Project Summary

Bayview Environmental was contracted to perform the abatement of fireproofing for the fire alarm replacement project located at Carson Library. The existing building has two floors, 1st floor is approximately 30,000 SF and a partial 2nd floor mechanical room. The Environmental team was contracted to perform the abatement of approximately 1,050 spots located throughout the 1st floor on overhead steel beams and ceiling deck areas. Etiwanda Generating Station

Project Summary

Bayview Environmental Services is performing asbestos remediation for the decommissioning of a 640-megawatt electric power generating station, consisting of four conventional natural gas–fired steam units and one peaking natural gas–fired simple-cycle combustion turbine. Units 1, 2, and 5 were retired in 2003, and Units 3 and 4 in 2016. The project also includes an administration/office building, maintenance and storage buildings, chemical building, fire hose shacks, and main control rooms within Units 3 and 4.

Bayview’s scope covers removal of thousands of feet of TSI piping, boiler insulation, fire bricks, and extensive transite siding and piping across the site. The project requires a large workforce and access to extremely limited areas, including work on scaffolding nearly 135 feet high and confined spaces. This assignment presents complex technical challenges that few companies in the industry can execute, and Bayview’s Southern California branch is proud to serve as the selected contractor.

Project Summary

Bayview performed comprehensive non-structural interior demolition and façade improvements across 10 buildings within a lab and business park campus. The project required careful planning and coordination to manage multiple starts and stops, unexpected delays, and logistical challenges related to equipment placement. Despite these complexities, Bayview completed the work on schedule, demonstrating the company’s ability to execute large, multi-building projects efficiently and effectively.

Cathedral School for Boys

Project Summary

This project required months of planning as the historical Grace Cathedral was located directly adjacent to the worksite. Interior demolition and abatement took place while select exterior concrete was removed in precise locations to expose post tension rods. The largest portion of Bayview Demolition’s scope was two story pre-cast concrete panels which had to be removed in close proximity to the historical church. Prior to the removal of the panels, Bayview Environmental successfully removed the PCB contaminated caulking and concrete from the panels. After these panels were removed Bayview Environmental was then tasked to encapsulate all the remaining concrete using an epoxy encapsulant.
