Project Summary

The Pier 70 Building 12 project showcased Bayview’s capability to perform complex work within a historic structure, including asbestos and lead abatement, MEP tasks, and selective demolition. The project began with complete building decontamination, allowing safe access for other trades. Bayview removed approximately 30,000 square feet of lead paint from structural columns and abated nearly 58,000 square feet of asbestos-containing roofing materials, while completing 30,000 square feet of MEP and structural demolition. In addition to safety and regulatory compliance, the project emphasized community impact, meeting stringent local hiring and local business participation requirements, demonstrating Bayview’s commitment to both excellence and community engagement.
