Bayview Demolition, Environmental, & Industrial

This project encompassed a full scope of demolition and environmental abatement services across several structures throughout the site. The demolition phase included extensive selective interior and exterior work aimed at preparing the buildings for future renovation and construction. Interior demolition efforts involved the systematic removal of flooring systems—including carpet, vinyl tile, and wood flooring—along with suspended ceilings, partition walls, doors, casework, and all associated finishes. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems were carefully disconnected and removed, including ductwork, piping, conduits, fixtures, and related infrastructure.

Roofing materials were also targeted during demolition, which included the removal of membrane systems, insulation layers, flashings, and structural penetrations to allow for future upgrades. Throughout the demolition process, dust control and containment measures were strictly maintained to ensure safety and compliance with environmental regulations.

The abatement portion of the project focused on the identification, removal, and proper disposal of hazardous building materials. These included asbestos-containing materials (ACM) such as floor tile and associated mastics, thermal system insulation on pipes and fittings, and roofing components with known asbestos-containing penetration seals. In addition, crews addressed lead-containing materials, including ceramic tile and other surfaces requiring stabilization or removal in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines. All abatement work was performed under full containment with air monitoring and waste manifesting, ensuring regulatory compliance and a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
