Project Summary

This project involved both soft and hard demolition tasks. Bayview Demolition Services performed selective removal and disposal of full-height and ceiling-height drywall partitions, carpet flooring, ceiling tiles and grid, deck insulation, and detailed main deck clips. Additionally, office cubicles were disassembled and disposed of.

The soft demolition was primarily executed using hand tools to prevent damage to items designated to remain in place. As part of the base contract, Bayview also saw cut and diced approximately 19,000 square feet of concrete slab into 3’x3’ sections, which were offloaded using bobcats.

The roof demolition scope included the removal of large boxcar units, each weighing up to 30,000 pounds and measuring 60 feet in length. These units were unbolted, rigged, and safely lifted using a large crane. The same process was utilized to dismantle and remove a 3,000-square-foot steel platform, miscellaneous ductwork, and penthouse finishes.
